The Psychiatry Cell of the Center for Preventive Medicine of the University of Tlemcen organized an awareness day on the danger of drug addiction in the university environment on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the level of the auditorium of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, Earth and Universe Sciences.
The meeting took place in the presence of Pr. Hamza Cherif Ali, vice-rector of the university in charge of external relations, cooperation, animation, communication, and scientific events, teachers, students, the representatives of the security authorities chief officer, chairman of the communication cell, and external relations to the security of the wilaya of Tlemcen, Mr. Blaha Nabil, and Mr. Samil Mustapha, chief police officer of the drug brigade, and Mr.GHOMRI Boumedienne, Chief Lieutenant in the service of the Crime Police of Tlemcen wilaya.
The speakers discussed the dangers, causes, and spread of drug addiction in society, as well as strategies for reducing it, particularly among young people.
At the end of the conference, participants focused on joining efforts to raise awareness of the dangers of drug addiction through further events and awareness workshops for young people and university students.
